high gear is overrated

Changing Gears Adventures is about creating experiences that slow your ride and provide escape from the every day.

Our guided Ontario bike tours prioritize an unhurried pace, so you can stop to smell the roses, talk to the trees, and scan the skies. Tours take place along the Goderich to Guelph corridor, or in and around Goderich and Lake Huron, to undiscovered destinations that offer otherworldly surprises.

When you’re finished riding, stay awhile and relax in our by-the-lake private backyard studio. You might be lucky enough to catch one of our legendary house concerts with traveling musicians.

bike tours

All tours take place along the Goderich to Guelph (G2G) Trail, or in and around Goderich and Huron County. We are currently revamping our tour offerings for 2024. Join our mailing list to hear about new rides when they become available.

stay awhile

Our cozy backyard cabin in Goderich is an outdoor living experience designed to help you truly change gears. Work, create and rest just steps from Lake Huron.

FOUNDER & BIKE TOUR GUIDE

vicky rao

Launching a second career as a bike tour guide might seem like a stretch for someone who crashed into a shrub the first time they rode a bike.

But when you’re on a bike, you feel more alert, more alive, and you can see and absorb things using all your senses when travelling between places.

My vision for Changing Gears is to help share my passion for riding, unhurried adventure, and bike culture beyond urban centres.

The G2G trail in particular is an opportunity to lose yourself on 132 km of worry-free, car-free travel, making you feel like you’re in another country without leaving Ontario’s backyard.
